Japanese Breakfast’s Lead Single off “Psychopomp” is a Heavenly Delight


Soft-spoken pop sensation Japanese Breakfast gives listeners a piece of Heaven with the lead single “In Heaven” off her new album Psychopomp. The upbeat tune reaches out side of indie pop (pre-programmed beats and such), and into the realm if live instrumentation. The song opens with a classical piano arrangement, and continues to build with robust sounds. The organ, and strings thrown in the mix turns the ride into a pop symphony while JB’s vocal delivery shines through with a Cindy Lauper quality.
