Ab-Soul Shows Us Controversial American History In “Huey Knew” Video

The conspiracy theorist of the Black Hippy collective, Ab-Soul, is back. Of the four, Ab is up next to release a project. These new dark images in his visuals for “Huey Knew” take us back to those Control System days. We see Ab in an old wicker chair, looking militant and spitting facts. Footage of controversy and social activism playing all around him. It’s dark, it’s hazy, yet politically charged. Therefore, it’s Ab-Soul. What’s most noteworthy is that this is leading us to a new album.

His 2014 album These Days was a disappointment to a lot of fans. As a result, Ab probably has some making up to do. Hopefully his next album can do that. Even while we’re still waiting for an official release date. Top Dawg’s Twitter account said the album has been finished for months. So what’s the holdup? Jay Rock, Kendrick and ScHoolboy all dropped excellent projects. So Soul’s gotta come through for TDE, either this year or next.

Check out the visuals for “Huey Knew” and let us know if Ab is on the right track with this new project.
