No 2017 Grammy’s For Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ Or ‘Endless’

26views

Frank Ocean finally delivered his long-awaited sophomore studio album Blond(e) just a couple of months ago. It’s been getting rave reviews from fans and critics alike. As well as his visual piece Endless, which was released prior to the official album. It debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200, putting lots of coins in Frank’s pockets. It would seem like a forgone conclusion that the album would be in the race for the 2017 Grammy’s. But it looks like that won’t be happening.

As long as you put it in the music 👌👌

Neither Blond(e) nor Endless were submitted for awards consideration. The Grammy eligibility cutoff date is September 30, both projects were released in August. But apparently someone behind the scenes failed to submit the albums for consideration on time. Thus, they will be left out. Endless didn’t appear on Billboard charts, so it’s questionable whether or not it would have been considered, anyway. But it’s sad to know that Frank Ocean’s Blond(e) won’t be getting the Grammy love it deserves.

How do you feel about all of this? Are you sad Frank won’t be nominated this year? Do you think the award recognition isn’t necessary for this album? Be sure to let us know in the comments down below.
