More music from The Black Keys is never a bad thing. Guitarist and vocalist for the band Dan Auerbach released a solo project way back in 2009 called Keep It Hid. This was a mixture of the band’s classic blues rock sound, but with some garage rock, indie folk and neo-psychedelia. Naturally, the thought of a follow-up project should entice any fan. And it looks like those fans are in luck.
The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach recently spoke with Rolling Stone and he revealed plans for a sophomore solo album. The album is set for release in Spring of 2017. Auerbach says that this project will feature “a whole history of everything I love about music.” About 60 songs in total were recorded during these sessions. Naturally, the final album won’t be that long.
In addition, Dan also says he definitely plans to tour when the album drops. The Black Keys’ most recent project was 2014’s Turn Blue. Leave your questions as well as your comments down below.
