Gorillaz Are Back With New Single And Video "Hallelujah Money"

Gorillaz have been teasing a comeback for a while now. This week they’ve taken it a step further by releasing a brand new single, “Hallelujah Money.” In addition to that, they gave it some pretty fascinating visuals to go along with it.

The track features Benjamin Clementine, who is giving what appears to be a very creepy sermon in the middle of an elevator. It is a somber and soft tune, with some pretty striking visuals accompanying it, directed by Gorillaz as well as Giorgio Testi.

“Gorillaz returns after six years with the apocalyptic ‘Hallelujah Money’ video, the first taste of their new record which is coming later this year. The band has issued this song on the eve of the Inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump to serve as commentary on a politically-charged, historical moment. #wearestillhumanz.”
