Watch Ed Sheeran’s Reflective Video for “Castle On The Hill”

38views

Ed Sheeran remembers his younger self in the new video for “Castle On The Hill”.

Sheeran surprised everyone by releasing two new single from his upcoming album ÷. “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill” are very different songs. “Castle On The Hill” hasn’t done as well on the charts as “Shape Of You”, but it is definitely the stronger song. It seems to be the most personal song of his career so far. Sheeran really lives in this song, more than many of his more dance inspired hits. That comfort and confidence really sends the emotion of this song to another level.

The video is a pretty literal interpretation of the song. We see flashbacks of a young Ed Sheeran hanging out with friends as the current Ed explores his former stomping grounds. The video has over 2 million views already after this mornings release. Obviously, ÷ is probably the most anticipated album of 2017. Hopefully we see more songs in the vein of “Castle On The Hill” which should take Sheeran to new heights.

Watch the video for “Castle On The Hill” below and check out the lyric video for “Shape Of You” here. ÷ is expected to be released on March 3.
