Rarely do you find an artist who’s natural beauty matches their natural talent, that is Cooper Phillip. Her stunning voice, captivating looks and presence keeps you tuned in for those that know her and captures the attention of those that don’t. No gimmicks, no costumes, no fluff, Phillip delivers a raw and honest sound that we’re missing in pop culture today.
Born in Russia to a family of classical musicians, her early years were shaped being raised by her grandmother and aunt while her mother, a master violin player, toured around the world with various symphonies. The separation from her mother ignited an undeniable spark in Phillip that created the artist she is today. She began to take comfort in music at an early age, particularly studying Ella Fitzgerald who she became a master at emulating her vocal stylings. Backed by the support of her mother and her obvious talent, her musical journey would lead her to enroll in the prestigious Moscow State Classical Academy where she studied classical piano, theory, harp, jazz, blues, ballet and voice. But she didn’t stop there, taking a brave step and barely a dollar to her name, Phillip moved to New York, then landed a gig in Los Angeles and is now on her way.
The kind of immense training that Phillip had in her young life allows her to blend the elements into her music setting her a bar above many other artists. Effortlessly hitting high notes, passionately executing her vocal performances, and always looking the part, we look forward to seeing what the future holds for Cooper Phillip. For a talent like this, the possibilities are limitless.
