The Low Down: Chelsea (@iamchelseaiam)  continues to surprise those that have been following her over the years. Her last EP, Live at the Bitter End,  proved her worth as a very powerful and gifted song writer, don’t be surprised to hear one of her songs covered or added as background music for a TV series or commercial.

On her latest single, Chelsea takes a break from her acoustic friend and shows us what her vocals are capable of. She’s showcased her vocal abilities in the past, but it was always a double feature along with her guitar. This time around Chelsea’s vocals and ability to create a catchy song are showcased, solely.  The new soundscape is a step outside of the coffee shop and into the pop world.

Born and raised in the birthplace of Funk, and arguably the birthplace of Rock n’ Roll, music is in my veins. If names like Bootsy Collins, and the Ohio Players ring a bell, then you know where I come from. As a musician and poet myself, I have an appreciation for art that hasn’t been inundated by the agendas of major labels and networks. Recently I’ve been sharing music and connecting with artists via social media. Follow me on Instagram @mainstream_music_isgarbage.
