The Low Down: Homeshake (Peter Sagar) gets it in with some soulful chord progressions on his guitar. He also throws in some clever lyrics that create a story about a relationship that’s on the brink of oblivion. Right away it’s easy to grasp the vibe and feeling of where the song is headed when Sagar opens with “so she’s doing something I wouldn’t do, trying to be the bigger person, I guess…”

The soulful r&b edge and the organic simplicity of the instrumentation is what makes this song stand out. Content wise its traditional and sticks to the template of r&b music.
