BeFlow displays raw and lyrical talent on single “iM GreaT.”
BeFlow is on the come-up as a young hip-hop artist. You may have already familiarized yourself with him on our Louder Than Music podcast. One track that can display his full talent is his latest, “iM GreaT.”
The song starts off with an immediate bang. There’s no hook, no chorus, just one long dope verse filled with bars and metaphors. BeFlow also gives you a glimpse at who he is as an artist in this song. The song is able to touch on a number of different ideas and concepts in its short runtime. Touching on glimpses of his childhood, stealing from a gas station. All while exercising an extremely confident flow with some real slick lyricism. Touting himself as a great one in the game of hip-hop.
“Scars on me, fine lines in my face/Compete with the J. Cole’s, this the planet of apes/Modify your verses, why change them if you ain’t nervous/I need a extra minute, might finish the book of guinness world records”
Even the artwork for the single features BeFlow standing in front of a row of microphones. It’s clear he has a lot to say on the song, and doesn’t waste a breath or anytime getting into it. His lyrics here paint a pretty vivid picture. The production here is simple and necessary for what he’s doing on the mic. The beat is solid and the vocal sample helps elevate the entire song. It’s a soulful jam that does nothing but feel good when it’s on repeat.
“The corporate executives starting to act cautious/Should’ve been had a meal and a deal, still ain’t exhausted”
This track is more than enough to wet your appetite for more content. You’ll want to be on the lookout for whatever BeFlow has to drop next.
